Telford robbery links are explored
Robbers who threatened a pregnant shop assistant when they targeted a Telford store have been linked with a series of other offences across the West Midlands.
The group of men left three female shop assistants terrified after bursting into the Co-Op in Wellington on August 28 at 9.50pm.
They demanded cash and pushed one woman against a shelf unit and threatening a second, who was pregnant.
They left empty-handed after the third shop assistant managed to call the police.
Telford police spokesman Chris Ammonds said the attempted robbery was now being linked to other incidents in Staffordshire.
As a result, police have launched a fresh appeal in the local area to try to track down the men. They will also be dropping leaflets through doors near to the store.
Anyone who has any information on the raid is urged to get in touch with the police on 101.
