Two found guilty of Telford killing
Two friends have been convicted of manslaughter after brutally attacking a man outside a block of flats who later died from his injuries.
Drug dealer Jason Noto hit Ismaaeel Rehman with a bat when he turned up and five or six others with him waited in the shadows.
Mr Rehman had gone to Noto's flat in Powis Place, Dawley Bank, Telford, to either buy or steal cannabis, Birmingham Crown Court heard.
As Noto chased the others Robert Jones grabbed a bat and hit Mr Rehman.
Mr Rehman, who was 22 at the time of the attack in July 2009, suffered bleeding to the brain. He died on New Year's Day last year after suffering a massive seizure.
Noto, 24, of Powis Place, and Jones, also 24, of Webb Crescent, Dawley, had both denied murder. Yesterday a jury returned verdicts of manslaughter against both men.
Judge Mrs Justice Kate Thirlwall was expected to sentence Noto and Jones today.
