Burglars threaten man, 72, at south Shropshire home

An elderly man was threatened with a knife during a robbery at his home near Ludlow, police said today.

The incident took place on Sunday at about 6pm when two men got into the property in Green Lane in Leominster.

Police said the first man held a knife towards the elderly man and demanded money.

The second man pushed the victim to the floor before stealing his wallet.

Officers from West Mercia Police say the victim – a man in his 70s – suffered minor injuries from the fall and was left extremely shaken.

Two men, both in their 20s, were arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of robbery in connection with the incident.

A woman, also in her 20s, was arrested on suspicion of robbery yesterday, police said.
