Telford police want to find David William Lowe, from Donnington, in connection a robbery which took place on November 15.

Officers put out an appeal last week and have now had reported sightings in Baldwin Webb Avenue, Donnington, believed to be Lowe's last home address.

Police also believe he has been making bus journeys to Stafford, where he is believed to have connections.

Chris Ammonds, a spokesman for West Mercia Police, said: "Officers have been visiting a number of addresses every day but as yet have failed to trace him."

A 65-year-old man was left with facial injuries and had about £100 stolen in the raid in Harding Close in Donnington.

Detective Inspector Billy Scott, based at Malinsgate police station, said: "David Lowe, who is 47, has been a prolific offender in the past and we believe he is deliberately evading capture as he knows he has failed to make the two court appearances.

"We have searched numerous addresses in an attempt to arrest him but we have not been able to track him down.

"As well as links to a number of addresses in Donnington and across Telford, Lowe also has many contacts in Stafford and we continue to liaise with our colleagues from Staffordshire Police as we attempt to locate him.

"We believe it's very likely that someone is harbouring him and I would warn anyone who is helping him that they will be dealt with robustly when we find out.

"If you have any information regarding David Lowe's whereabouts, we would urge you to contact us. He knows we are looking for him and although we will continue to work hard to find him, we would appreciate any help from the public."

Anyone who sees Lowe should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
