12 held after violence at Shropshire party
Twelve young men have been arrested as part of an inquiry into violent disorder at a party in Shropshire.
Police today said 11 were arrested on suspicion of committing violent disorder during the incident in Maesbury, near Oswestry.
Another was arrested on suspicion of assault, causing grievous bodily harm.
Those arrested are aged from 17 to 21 and mainly live in the Welshpool area. They have all been bailed pending further inquiries.
Constable Royston Alderwick said about 50 people were invited to the party on November 14. Trouble broke out when a group of uninvited young men arrived.
They assaulted a number of people before leaving.
At least 10 people suffered various injuries, including broken jaws, a perforated ear drum, cuts and bruising.
