Three arrested in Telford drug raids

Three people were arrested in Telford today as part of a police crackdown on drug abuse. Police raided homes in Hadley, Wellington and Overdale as part of Operation Action.

They arrested two men aged 28 and 22 and a 47-year-old woman on suspicion of drug offences. Officers seized a number of items connected to the use or supply of drugs.

Police also arrested three men in relation to robbery offences. The men aged 18, 19 and 29 are currently in custody in Shrewsbury.

Superintendent Nav Malik, Police Commander in Telford, said: "The warrants executed this morning are related to a number of ongoing investigations. We will not tolerate the use of illegal drugs.

"Our Safer Neighbourhood Teams play a key role in tackling this type of crime."
