The 19-year-old driver, who is from the Bridgnorth area, was charged yesterday with causing the death of Ben Henshaw.

The teenager was arrested over the incident on January 3.

He was released on bail to appear before magistrates at Cannock on March 22.

Ben died when a car left Patshull Road, went through a hedge and went into the Great Pool, a lake near Patshull Park Hotel, in Burnhill Green, near Shifnal, at around 12.25am on August 6 last year

The teenager, from Alveley near Bridgnorth, had been in the car with an 18-year-old male driver and 15-year-old female front-seat passenger. They got out of the water and were treated by ambulance crews at the scene, but Ben's body was found in the lake later that day.
