More than 12 acres on the Long Mynd near Church Stretton have been damaged by three fires in the past month.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service and the National Trust have issued a call today to walkers, urging them to be vigilant in the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and report any suspicious behaviour.

Dave Cowell, area ranger for the Long Mynd, said: "We want to warn everyone of the dangers."
