Shrewsbury knife threat case man is remanded

A man accused of threatening someone with a knife in Shrewsbury town centre has appeared in court via video link.

Daniel Walker is accused of threatening an unknown person with a knife in the Shoplatch area on March 22.

He has also been charged with four other offences, including possessing a double bladed 90mm knife in Shrewsbury and possessing three large bags of cannabis with intent to supply, both on April 1.

Walker, 22, of Mary Webb Road, Meole Brace, has also been charged with possessing a small quantity of cannabis on March 22 and causing criminal damage to a window at a property in Stapleton Road, Shrewsbury, on April 9.

He had pleaded guilty to all five charges at a previous hearing and appeared via video link at Shrewsbury Magistrates Court yesterday.

Walker is to remain in custody, with his next appearance in court scheduled for June 24.
