Officers from CID in Telford are continuing to investigate the incident in which a number of men forced a taxi driver to withdraw several hundred pounds from a Lloyds TSB cashpoint in Wrekin Drive, Donnington.

The victim had driven the men around all day in what he thought was a genuine fare, including driving to Manchester and back to Newport and Wellington.

The victim was then forced to get more money from his house and then the next morning he was forced to meet the men again and hand over more money.

Police say he felt so threatened that he did not report the incidents to the police until two days later.

Two men aged 29 and 18 have been charged with robbery and kidnap in connection with the incident on May 5, while a 17-year-old who was also arrested has been released on police bail.

Police are now making a fresh appeal for anyone with information, or anyone who may recognise the man in the picture, to come forward. Detective Sergeant Ian Rutherford said:

"Although two men have been charged in connection with this incident we believe there are still other offenders outstanding."

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or 0300 333 3000 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
