'Gun' claim burglars force victims to floor in Telford home
Raiders claiming to be carrying a gun forced two men to the ground in a Telford house before fleeing with valuables.
The three burglars entered the home in Hadley and forced the victims, aged 40 and 17, to the floor.
They claimed they were carrying a gun and demanded money from the victims, who said they had none.
The robbers then fled the house, on Crescent Road, with an iPhone and a Blackberry.
West Mercia Police said the thieves left in the direction of Manse Road, where it is believed they were picked up by a small black or dark coloured car – possibly a Ford Puma or a Vauxhall Tigra.
The drama happened at around 6pm yesterday.
A force spokesman said today: "Although the victims did not see a gun or weapon of any sort, understandably they have been left very shaken by the incident.
"All three men that carried out this burglary are described as being in their mid 20s to early 30s, while one is described as appearing to be of mixed race and around 6ft 2inches tall.
The other two were black, with one being around 6ft 2ins tall and the other as being 5ft 7 ins and with a stocky build.
Officers want to hear from anyone who may have seen the small black car anywhere in the Hadley area between 5.15pm and 6.30pm last night.
