Alwyn Llewlyn Jones, of Llanfair Caereinion near Welshpool, has denied aggravated vehicle taking outside Shrewsbury bus station on April 11.

The charge involves a single-decker Arriva Midlands bus and a shelter on Raven Meadows close to the bus station.

Two other men, who were also charged and due to appear at Shrewsbury Magistrates' Court yesterday had their cases dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service but no reasons were given in court.

The 18-year-old defendant has pleaded not guilty to the single charge which includes the Dennis bus and bus shelter sustaining damage totalling £26,513.

Jones was released on unconditional bail to appear before Shrewsbury Crown Court on Monday.
