Shropshire dog trainer faces sheep attack case
A Shropshire dog trainer has appeared in court after more than 35 lambs were injured or killed in a suspected dog attack.
Charles Ross-Robertson, 64, from Stanton Lacy, near Ludlow, appeared before magistrates yesterday, charged with being the owner of a dog worrying livestock.
He is also charged with two counts of being in charge of a dog being dangerously out of control in a public place and also of being in possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
The allegations follow a suspected attack a farm in Risbury, near Leominster in September 2.
Ross-Robertson, who has not entered a plea, is an animal behaviourist specialising in training undisciplined and aggressive dogs.
He has worked with the police and the Army in a 40-year career. His case will be heard at Worcester Crown Court on January 12.
