Fur cop as pet cat raises alert over Shropshire car theft
A Shropshire family's cat alerted them when their car was stolen.

West Mercia Police said the Shifnal residents were woken by their pet cat – only to discover that they had been burgled, with a car and and number of other items stolen.
After they raised the alarm on Wednesday, police carried out an investigation to see if the vehicle had triggered any automatic number plate recognition cameras.
Officers alerted bordering police forces and information regarding the theft led officers to the Wolverhampton area, where an arrest was made.
The stolen car was recovered by the police and a full forensic check of it will now be made to assist in the investigation.
