Teenager in court accused of Cleobury Mortimer hit-and-run

A teenager has appeared in court facing charges in relation to an alleged hit-and-run in Cleobury Mortimer.

Samuel Fidoe appeared at Telford Magistrates Court yesterday.

The 19-year-old is accused of causing serious injury to Nathan Morrison by driving dangerously on the A4117 in Cleobury Mortimer.

Fidoe, of Childe Road, Cleobury Mortimer, faces further charges of failing to stop after a road accident and failing to report the accident on September 11 last year.

He did not indicate any pleas to the charges.

The case was committed to Shrewsbury Crown Court for a plea and directions hearing on April 18.

Fidoe was released on unconditional bail.
