Series of bike thefts in Shrewsbury probed by police
Police are investigating a series of bike thefts across Shrewsbury.
The first incident saw a ladies Carrera mountain bike stolen from an unlocked garden shed in The Paddocks, Bicton Heath, between April 7 and 15.
Officers say the bike has distinctive white walled tyres and inscribed Rapid Rods.
The theft was reported on Tuesday and anyone with information should call 101 quoting incident number 0449s of April 18.
The second theft happened between 9pm and 11.20pm on April 15 when a locked Giant mountain bike and a Carrera Vengeance mountain bike were stolen from the front gate of a house also in The Paddocks, Bicton Heath.
The Carrera was later found in a street nearby. Incident number 0005s of April 16 refers.
A yellow and black Calibre Nidiru 2.0 road bike was taken from a cycle display in a store at Sundorne Retail Park at about 3.50pm on Tuesday.
Two men, described as in their 40s or early 50s and balding appeared to have been involved according to police.

Also on Tuesday, at around 4.45pm, a black and red Boardman CX Team pedal cycle was stolen from a store on Meole Brace Retail Park.
A man, described as bald, rather obese and aged in his late 30s to 40s was believed to have been involved.
He was wearing a grey t- and blue jeans and had stubble on his chin and a tattoo on his left arm.
