Spate of house burglaries in Shrewsbury sparks police investigation
Police are investigating a series of burglaries at homes across the Shrewsbury area.
The first incident saw a kitchen window smashed and a house in Glebe Road, Bayston Hill, broken into between 9.15am and 12.15pm on April 20.
Officers say various jewellery items were stolen.
Anyone with information should call 101 quoting incident number 0212s of April 20.
Between midday on April 19 and 2pm on April 22, a house in Mytton Oak Road, Copthorne, was raided while the occupants were on holiday.
Every room had been searched, possibly to target jewellery. The burglary was discovered by a family member making a routine check on the property.

In a third incident, drawers were searched and cash stolen from a detached property at Lea Cross between 8.15am and 12.15pm on April 20.
Anyone with information should call 101 quoting incident number 0228s of April 21.
Officers are also investigating an attempted break-in at a house in Church Road, Dorrington, between 9am on April 19 and 10.15am the following day.
A window to the property was smashed but no entry was gained.
