The drone has been buzzing properties in Horton Lane in Horton.

On April 20 at about 3pm a resident on the road looked out of his window to see the drone flying outside just a few feet away.

He went outside and the drone followed his movements, which police say caused him concern about the motive of the drone operator.

West Mercia Police said the drone has been seen on "several occasions" in the area and seems to fly above the houses.

Residents believe the flyer of the drone must be experienced as it hovers and moves near the properties.

The Hadley and Leegomery Safer Neighbourhoods Team sent letters to people in the area to ask if the owner is known to them but no one has yet come forward.

Police want to speak to the owner, or anyone who knows who the owner is.

Rules about drone flying state they can not be flown within 150 feet from a property.

The drone in question is described as large, with four propellers and black with yellow markings.

Anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting reference 0371s of April 20. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or at crimestoppers-uk.org
