Two arrested after Telford stabbing

Two people have been arrested after a stabbing in Dawley.

The victim was found with a stab wound to the head on the High Street on Saturday.

The road has been closed for much of this morning to allow forensic investigations of the scene.

At 11.50pm, officers from West Mercia Police were called to the scene after reports of two men with knives.

Peter Kitosi-Isanga, West Mercia Police operations and communications centre inspector, said: "Officers attended and located a victim with stab wounds to the head.

"They were taken to hospital but their injuries are not life-threatening and not life-changing."

Two people have now been arrested in connection to the incident.
