He also entered guilty pleas to a charge of theft in relation to vehicle registration plates and being in possession of an imitation firearm, namely a black handgun, in relation to the incident in Market Drayton.

He was accused of robbery in a separate incident on March 24, which he denied, but entered a guilty plea to an alternative charge of the theft of a Vauxhall Vectra.

He entered not guilty pleas to charges of robbery on March 20 of Lloyds bank in Madeley and being in possession of a black handgun in relation to that incident.

The pleas were accepted by the prosecution. Gillon was remanded in custody and is due to be sentenced at the same court on Friday.
