Bridgnorth Town Council's clerk revealed at its council meeting on Tuesday that another one of its buildings had been targeted by burglars.

Anne Wilson said: "The cemetery office was broken into on Friday night.

"A laptop and pressure washer and other things were taken.

"There's a mega crime wave across the county, especially around here.

"We are looking at alternative measures and burglar alarms and CCTV which we will bring back to the council at a later date."

Earlier this month the council had all its hand tools, electric tools and protective equipment stolen.

After the break-in Mrs Wilson took to social media and explained that its secure unit had been broken into.

She said the locked unit had a Land Rover parked in front of it and the burglars moved the Land Rover and a tractor parked nearby to access the unit.

Vans and outbuildings such as sheds and garages have been regularly targeted in the town and surrounding rural areas in recent months.

If anyone has any information in relation to these incidents, call police on 101.
