Man attacked in Telford street in front of partner and son
A father was punched in the face and knocked to the ground in a Telford street in front of his partner and son. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries to his face and chest.
The incident happened at about 6.30pm on May 22 as the victim, in his late 20s, was walking on Court Street in Madeley with his partner and son.
Police say he was approached by an unknown man and an altercation took place.
The victim was punched to the face and received further blows which forced him to the floor.
The offender is described as a mixed race man, in his early 20s and around 5ft 10ins tall. He was of a stocky build and had short shaven dark hair. He was wearing a grey tracksuit and trainers.
PC Robyn Snade, of West Mercia Police, said: "As part of our ongoing investigation we are trying to establish the circumstances that lead up to the incident.
"I am therefore appealing to anyone who had been driving or walking along Court Street prior to the incident, or had been in the area at the time to come forward."
