Stolen Shifnal dumper truck recovered in 24 hours
A stolen dumper truck was recovered by police officers less than 24 hours after it was taken.
Police were called to the theft on June 12 from a building site in Shifnal.
Officers were in the area within 10 minutes and conducted checks on a number of individuals who could not account for their presence in the area.
Despite a search of the area, the dump truck could not be found.
The police were then informed by the building company that they had received information regarding the location of the dump truck and were able to direct officers to it. It was less that three miles away from the building site.
The dumper truck will be checked by forensic officers and the investigation into the theft will continue.
