Drink driver arrested at accident site
Police who were called to a late night road accident in a village near Shrewsbury arrested a man for drink driving.
On Saturday at approximately 11.30pm, officers were called to a road traffic collision in Pontesbury.
When they arrived at the site of the accident, they spoke to a man who was uninjured.
He was subsequently breathalysed and found to be over the prescribed limit.
Police officers then arrested the man and he was taken to Shrewsbury Police Station's custody suite. He was later charged to court for driving whilst over the prescribed limit and for having no insurance.
