Witness appeal over assault on woman, 88, near Newtown
Police have issued an urgent appeal regarding a potential witness in the investigation into a brutal assault on an 88-year-old woman.
The woman was assaulted in her home in Dolfor, near Newtown, on June 19, and earlier this week Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed four men had been arrested in connection with the incident.
The force has now issued a further appeal for a potential witness, who found a wallet in or around the area of Newtown Skate Park between June 19 and 21.
Anyone with any information is urged to contact Newtown Joint Investigation Team on 101.
The woman suffered significant facial and arm injuries in the attack, including a broken arm, and was conveyed to hospital, before being released.
Anyone with other information or anyone who has a dash cam and was driving along Upper Dolfor Road between 9am and 5pm is urged to check their footage to see if they provide any evidence that could assist the investigation is asked to ring 101.
