Man arrested over attempted abduction of two boys outside Telford shop
A man has been arrested on suspicion of the attempted abduction of two young boys outside a shop on a Telford estate.
The boys were outside the shop in Burford, Brookside, when it is alleged they were invited to go away with a man.
Police say they were uninjured and there was no attempt made to touch the boys in question.
Police were called to the area at around 1.35pm on Monday and a 31-year-old from Telford was arrested and released on bail while investigations continue.
Detective Chief Inspector Mo Lansdale said: "Reports of this nature are always concerning and this incident was upsetting for the victims.
"Investigations are currently ongoing but I would like to reassure residents that police are continuing to conduct regular patrols in the area.
"We are very keen to speak to anyone who was in the area or who saw anyone acting suspiciously at the time."
