Man admits having noxious liquid in Shrewsbury

A man has admitted charges of possessing a noxious liquid and assaulting a woman.

Gareth Jones, aged 43, of Albert Road, Shrewsbury, appeared before Shrewsbury Crown Court on Monday to answer two charges.

He pleaded guilty to possessing a prohibited weapon on April 21 without authority, namely a noxious liquid.

He also pleaded guilty to assaulting Joanne Harley in Shrewsbury.

A pre-sentence report was ordered and he is due to be sentenced on August 25.
