Burglars try to break into Telford home in the middle of the day

Three men attempted to break into a Telford home in the middles of the day - while people were inside

West Mercia Police is appealing for information on an attempted burglary from a property in Burford, Brookside.

It happened at about 1.15pm on Wednesday.

The men tried to get into the house through the front and back doors, while its occupants were inside and were only scared off once they were told that police had been informed.

The first man is described as white, aged 25 to 30 years, 5ft 7 tall and slender build. He has short dark hair, black long sleeve round neck jumper, blue jeans with two to three inch turn ups, carrying an old style white phone.

The second is a white man, aged 25 to 32 years, slightly taller than the other man, with gingery brown hair, blue quilted jacket and black hooded top underneath and dark trainers.

The final man is white, aged 25 to 30 years, wearing a khaki green parker style coat with fur rimmed hood, grey lining, navy baseball cap with a white logo on the front.

Anyone who has information about the incident, witnessed it or saw anything suspicious in the area around the time it took place should contact West Mercia Police on 101 referencing incident 296S 090817
