Man seen crawling near to parked car in Shrewsbury

A man was seen crawling around a parked car in Shrewsbury and then trying a resident's door.

The incident was at about 9.40pm on Tuesday, in Longden Road, and the man is in his mid-20s with a shaved head and was carrying a rucksack.

Registration plates have been also stolen from two cars in a Shrewsbury car park this week.

The cars were parked beside a retail hardware store in Whitchurch Road when the plates were stolen between 7pm on Tuesday and 7.30am on Wednesday. One plate was later found in a nearby hedge.

Meanwhile, a red Vauxhall Corsa was stolen from a private car parking area in Shrewsbury.

The car was parked in Greenfields Garden, off Ellesmere Road, when it was stolen between 10am on Monday and 8.10am on Tuesday.

Overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday a car parked in The Keep, Bicton Heath, was broken into and a small sum of loose change was stolen.
