Car destroyed in Telford arson attack

A car was completely destroyed in an arson attack in Telford.

The car was set on fire at around 8.50pm on Monday. Two fire crews from Telford were sent to Hinkshay Road in Dawley, to deal with the blaze.

They used breathing apparatus and a hosereel jet to put out the flames, and then used a thermal imaging camera to make sure there were no further hotspots in the vehicle.

Operations and fire investigation officers were also in attendance. The blaze was found to have been started purposefully.

Firefighters had put out the fire by 9.30pm.
