Arrest after girl, 11, hit by car in Knighton
A man has been arrested after an 11-year-girl was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a suspected hit and run in Knighton.
It happened at 4pm on Thursday in Ffrydd Road, near to Knighton Hospital.
Dyfed-Powys Police said a dark coloured Toyota RAV 4 hit the girl but failed to stop at the scene.
A spokesman said today: "A 57-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop after a road traffic collision and currently remains in police custody. The vehicle has been seized.
"The 11-year-old female pedestrian remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition."
