Officers are stepping up their patrols in the area known as The Orchard along Church Road in Oxley, Wolverhampton.

The land, which is privately owned, is being accessed illegally and used by drug dealers and users, police have said. Officers have told how the area has also become littered with rubbish and drug paraphernalia.

A statement on the crackdown in the Bushbury and Oxley neighbourhood police newsletter for September 2017, said: “The team have again seen an increase in the reports of anti-social behaviour at the privately-owned land situated on the corner of Church Road.

“The land is insecure and is being used by local drug users to take illegal drugs.

“The land is littered with rubbish and drug paraphernalia which is being left there by individuals.

“We will be stepping up patrols and plans to secure the land will be implemented in the near future.”

Anyone with concerns about the area is asked to contact a member of the team or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
