Church Stretton horror: Child, 7, found dead and woman with significant injuries at house
A seven-year-old child was found dead and a woman with significant injuries at a house near Church Stretton.
Police have launched an investigation after they were called to an address in Rushbury Road at 6.15pm yesterday.
When officers arrived at the scene they found the child's body.
The woman has been taken to hospital with her injuries.
Superintendent Tom Harding said last night: "There has been significant police activity at the address this evening and we expect that this will continue through tomorrow [Friday] as we try to establish what has taken place.
"Our thoughts are with the family of the young child and we will continue to support them as our investigation progresses."
