Heroin and cocaine found during Shrewsbury house raid

Heroin and crack cocaine were found when officers from West Mercia Police raided a home in Shrewsbury.

The discovery was made on Wednesday morning when West Mercia Police executed a warrant on an address in Pool Rise, Mereside, in Shrewsbury.

Two men were arrested at the address and a large quantity of drugs were seized.

A 21-year-old man from Oldbury, West Midlands, was arrested under suspicion of conspiring to supply a class A controlled drug – heroin.

Further charges included conspiring to supply a class A controlled drug – crack cocaine – and acquiring, using or possessing criminal property.

Another 28-year-old man, also from Oldbury, was arrested under suspicion of the same charges. Both men were released on bail.
