Thieves target Land Rovers in Shropshire
Thieves are targeting Land Rovers in Shropshire, stealing vehicles or parts from them.
In the past few weeks police in Shropshire have received eight reports that Land Rovers have been stolen or subject to attempted thefts.
The bonnet was taken from a grey Land Rover Defender shortly after 10pm on November 13. The car was parked at premises in Bourton Road, Much Wenlock. Police say the offender/s may have been using a pick-up vehicle.
Officers say it is the fourth recent incident involving the theft of a bonnet from a Land Rover in the Shropshire policing area.
Bonnets were also stolen from vehicles at Stanton Long, Ludlow, and The Down, Bridgnorth. Headlights were taken from a Land Rover at Annscroft, Shrewsbury, on the night of November 11.
Recently, Landrovers have been stolen from Cressage, Welshampton, Cruckton and Ashford Bowdler with the latest in Shawbury on November 15.
Attempts were made to steal vehicles at Acton Burnell and Broseley while three thefts have been recorded by Telford Police and two by Herefordshire Police.
