Drivers speed through village
More than 1,000 motorists have sped through a village in the past 10 months, one driver hitting speeds of more than 60 miles and hour.
Community volunteers in Coedway on the B4393 outside Welshpool have held 84 speedwatch sessions since the beginning of the year.
Dyfed Powys Police say that a total of 1239 warning letters have been sent out to motorists exceeding the speed limit.
"The highest speed recorded in the 30 mile an hour zone was 61mph ," a spokesman said.
