Man arrested after Shrewsbury stabbing remains in hospital
A man in his 50s arrested in connection with a stabbing on New Year’s Day in Shrewsbury remains in hospital receiving treatment.
He was arrested after two people suffered stab and head injuries in a disturbance on Hereford Road, Shrewsbury, at about 11pm.
The man was detained by a police dog and arrested at the scene under suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, but was released from arrest to receive hospital treatment, where he remained yesterday, according to police.
The two injured men have been released from hospital after receiving treatment.
