Man on Telford school land sparks police alert
Police were called to a Telford school after a man entered the grounds without permission in Telford.
The man is reported to have walked into Madeley Academy on Friday before speaking with staff.
Security staff called the police who attended before the man left the area.
Paul Roberts, spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "Police were called to Madeley Academy at 11.14am on Friday, January 12, after a man is reported to have walked into the school and spoken with members of staff.
"Officers attended and the man left the area. The Safer Neighbourhood Team has been made aware."
The school confirmed that the man was at the school.
A spokesperson said: "I can confirm that a member of the public did enter the site without permission.
"Security staff immediately alerted the police who dealt with the situation swiftly and in a professional manner.
"After being asked to leave the site the person removed himself."
