Two men arrested at Telford house in £19,000 cannabis raid
Two men were arrested today after police uncovered cannabis plants worth around £19,000 at a house in Telford.
Officers carried out a warrant at a house in the St George's area this morning.
Nineteen plants were found in an upstairs room at the property, with each plant worth around £1,000.
PC 2465 Rob Hughes, of Donnington Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "We were acting on information we have gathered over a period of weeks and we carried out a warrant in the St George's area.
"In that property, we found a grow in an upstairs room, with a number of plants which were ready for harvest.
"They are worth around £1,000 per plant, so £19,000 - there was a lot of money to be made.
"Two men are in custody to be interviewed and we have closed down a potential large drugs operation.
"We still have further enquiries to make, which may lead to more warrants."
Anyone who has suspicions about drugs related activity in their community should call West Mercia Police on 101.
