Rise in Shrewsbury bike thefts prompts warning
Police are encouraging cyclists to security mark their bikes after a spate of thefts in Shrewsbury.
Shrewsbury Safer Neighbourhoods team is warning there has been an increase in the number of bikes being stolen in the town.
It comes after six bikes where stolen from sheds and gardens in the Copthorne area in just two days.
Police said bikes should be locked away in a garage or shed overnight, and owners should consider security marking their property with Veloeye.
Veloeye uses high visibility stickers, registered to a bike database, to deter thieves.
