Fishy business
Police are alerting people to possible fishy business by cold callers.
A group of men claiming to be from Middlesborough, were reported to be cold calling and doorstep selling in Whittington Road, Fox's Field, and elsewhere in the village of Gobowen near Oswestry on Tuesday.
Two men claiming to be selling fish were reported to be calling on householders in the Lutton Close area of Oswestry on Monday and police were also told about doorstep sellers in the Cambrian Drive area of the town.
Officers said people should be cautious when purchasing goods or services from strangers on doorsteps, and to report any suspicions to local police as soon as possible. They should also remind neighbours to be vigilant.
