Terrorism case soldier railed against 'Jews and non-whites', court told
A soldier on trial for terrorism offences is alleged to have railed against "Jews", "non-whites" and "self-hating Communists and Liberal traitors" in his writings, a court has heard.
Lance Corporal Mikko Vehvilainen also allegedly had a copy of mass murderer Anders Breivik's manifesto containing instructions to make what an expert described as a "viable" explosives.
The Army trainer is also claimed to have penned a draft of a morale-boosting letter to prisoners convicted of race crimes, ridiculing their imprisonment for "thought crime", Birmingham Crown Court heard.
Vehvilainen, previously described by his barrister as a confessed racist, is on trial alongside fellow Royal Anglian soldier Mark Barrett, of Alexander Barracks, Cyprus, and a 23-year-old man who cannot be named, accused of being National Action members.
Jurors previously heard how Vehvilainen was renovating a house in Llansilin near Oswestry, and police found CS gas, guns, knives and nazi flags.

Also in a single plastic box in the garage of his Sennybridge Camp barracks accommodation in Powys, police discovered 11 knives, a bayonet, two knuckle-dusters, a black face mask and a set of handcuffs.
Inside the same area was what prosecutors called a jury-rigged "target dummy" made of a disposable foil tray dressed in a camouflage jacket, resting on a stand.
He also had hand-fashioned arrows and a longbow, along with a licensed shotgun and shells, and an air rifle.
Extinction
The jury was told that police raids also uncovered pages of lists, entitled "Army kit bought", "To-buy list" and "security kit".
Among the items was an A4 lined pad, with a hand-written entry for a magazine entitled "Extinction".
Barrister Karen Robinson, prosecuting, read extracts including: "To those who are familiar with the current genocide being forced upon whites, that is exactly what we are facing."
The writings listed "uncontrolled immigration", "promotion of homosexuality" and the "destruction of Christian values" as the possible causes of "extinction".
It added: "Obviously, there are those who welcome the end of the white race: The self-hating Communists and Liberal traitors, Non-whites and The Jews."
It concluded: "Lastly, be prepared to fight and die for your race in a possible last stand for our survival."
Also found was a draft of a letter to Joshua Bonehill-Paine, 25, who jurors heard was convicted at the Old Bailey in 2016 of racially aggravated harassment of Labour MP Luciana Berger by blogging anti-Jewish remarks about her.
His prison address was found at the end of the draft, along with that of Lawrence Burns who was jailed at Cambridge Crown Court for stirring up racial hatred.
The letter began: "I have spent many years in our movement and seen many brothers like yourself incarcerated for thought crime."
It concluded: "Victory will be ours, by the will of God."
The jurors were told a digital copy of Norwegian white nationalist mass-murderer Anders Breivik's 1,500-page manifesto was also found on a phone seized during the raids.
The case continues.
