Woman, 79, goes missing on trip to Shropshire
A 79-year-old woman has gone missing during a trip to Shropshire.
Jean Bevan, who has memory problems, was last seen at about 10.30am yesterday at Gloucester railway station.
She said that she was going to a family home in Shropshire and it is thought that she would have caught a train to Birmingham, then another train from Birmingham to Shrewsbury and a third to Gobowen.
Mrs Bevan has not arrived in Shropshire and has not made contact with family. It is not known if she caught any of those trains or is elsewhere on the rail network.
She is described as a white, 4ft 3ins tall, slightly built, with very short brown hair, which is greying in places.
She is thought to be wearing either denim or floral trousers, white trainers and either a black and white fine striped coat or a warmer, burgundy coat and carrying a black handbag and a tapestry holdall.
Gloucestershire Constabulary is working with British Transport Police and other forces to try to find Mrs Bevan.
Anyone who has seen her, or has information about her whereabouts should call Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101 quoting incident 255 of March 25.
