Alert over suspicious men selling fish in villages

Police have warned of suspicious vehicles in villages near Oswestry amid social media reports of men selling fish door-to-door.

People went on social media on Thursday to warn that a white van was travelling in the Criftins and Weston Rhyn area with two occupants acting suspiciously.

The West Mercia police safer neighbourhood team for Oswestry said: "We are having reports of suspicious vehicles in the area of Weston Rhyn, Chirk Bank and Gobowen. If you have any information please contact us via 101."
