Police frustrated after TWENTY-TWO accidental 999 calls in one day
West Mercia Police dealt with at least 22 emergency calls from accidental dials and children playing with phones - in just one day.
The force said on that on Friday operatives received multiple 999 calls came from accidental dials.
A spokesperson for the West Mercia Police operations and communications centre said on Twitter: "So far today we have received 22 accidental 999 calls.
"Please consider how you store your phone, we will always make enquiries as to whether there is a genuine need for police and this takes valuable time."
