Six arrested after man kidnapped in Telford
Six men have been arrested after a man was kidnapped in Telford.
The victim was walking along Woollam Road, Arleston, when two cars pulled up to him.
He was attacked by eight men, forced into the back of a car and driven to the New Works Quarry area, where he was let out of the vehicle and left to walk back on foot. He suffered cuts and bruises.
The kidnapping happened at about 3.45pm on Thursday.
Six men – three of them teenagers – have been arrested in relation to the incident.
The men, aged 17, 18, 18, 21, 22 and 30, and all from Telford, have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to kidnap.
Today police are calling for witnesses to help them identify anybody else who might have been involved in the kidnapping.
