Accused Telford school football coach said ‘I’m risking my job for this’, court told
A school football coach from Telford told a pupil he was “risking his job for this” as he sent sexually explicit photos and videos to her, a court heard.
Joe Hall, 26, has denied eight counts including multiple charges of sexual activity with children.
The charges mainly relate to alleged activity over mobile phones, including sending and requesting sexual pictures and videos.
One of the witnesses, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said she thought the sexually explicit video he showed her was “disgusting”.
She said: “He showed me and another girl a video on his phone, we were laughing, it was a shock. I thought it was disgusting.
“A few weeks down the line I had a follow request on Instagram, then I added him on Snapchat.
“We used to talk, he’d ask me to send him a picture and he’d send me pictures and videos of him doing stuff.
“All the time he’d say I’m risking my job for this.

“He’d text me asking if I was on my own, and one time he text me saying video call me, he wanted to do stuff on video chat, but I didn’t want to.”
The witness added that Hall asked her to send him pictures while she was in the bath.
She said: "We used to meet in the play area in school, it started when I was 15.
“He said you girls could get into a nightclub and we said how, we’re only young, and he said you look older.
“He asked if I was in the bath and said ‘send me nudes’ but I wouldn’t in the bath.”
Mr Simon Mintz, on behalf of Hall, asked the witness why she did not report it after Hall showed her the explicit video.
The witness broke down in tears as she said: “I didn’t want him to lose his job.”
Mr Mintz said: “He left his wallet, keys and phone on the side and you must’ve picked it up and had a look.”
The witness replied: “No, he’s a liar.”
Mr Mintz said there had only been two conversations on Snapchat, and that she had made up the allegations.
Hall, of Brands Farm Way, Randlay, Telford, is accused of indecent exposure and of inciting a child to sexual activity with one victim and showing two others under 16 a video of a sexual act.
Shrewsbury Crown Court heard that with another victim he is accused of sending lewd pictures and a pornographic video link, inciting a child to observe him in a live feed on social media and inciting a child to send sexual images to him.
With another victim he is accused of sending photos and a text containing sexual references, and inciting them to engage in sexual activity.
There is also one charge of possessing extreme pornographic images involving animals.
Hall denies the allegations.
The trial continues.
