Three men were arrested following a stop check on a vehicle in Welshpool on May 1.

A quantity of drugs were recovered following address searches, and two men have since been released under investigation.

The third remains in custody with officers believing he has concealed drugs.

He has been charged with an offence of possession with intent to supply, and officers applied for permission to hold him for eight days.

PS Tom Marshall took to social media to log the process of what has happened, and how the man in custody's situation is yet to change.

It is now moving into the tenth day, and police have applied for further applications until they believe drugs will be passed.

PS Marshall said: "He has been charged with possession with intent to supply and officers made an application to remand him to police custody.

"The courts awarded the full 192 hours - eight days - and further applications will be made until drugs are passed.

"We are currently on day nine since his arrest and he is being constantly monitored.

"He is receiving medical support and is being offered options to resolve matters but has refused to date."
