Andrew Prempeh, aged 21, and Tyler Love, aged 20, both from Telford, each denied an offence of violent disorder when they appeared at Shrewsbury Crown Court.

The court was told that they had initially faced the charge along with Tyrone Dorsett, aged 20, who was found fatally wounded in a street in Birmingham on April 15.

This case brought before the court in Shrewsbury relates to a fight in Telford on June 14 last year.

Prosecuting barrister Mr Andrew Baker explained the circumstances on the case and told the court about the shooting.

He said: “There was another defendant involved in this case, but he is dead.

“Tyrone Dorsett was killed in a shooting in south Birmingham two weeks ago.”

Prempeh, of Burford, Brookside, and Love, of Third Avenue, Ketley Bank, both in Telford were granted bail following the hearing on Tuesday.

The matter was adjourned for a trial date to be fixed.

A murder investigation was launched after Mr Dorsett, of Priorslee, was found with gunshot injuries.

He was shot close to the Birmingham City Football Club ground in the Bordesley area of the city.

He was found following reports of gunfire in a car park.

He died despite the efforts of medical staff and was declared dead at the scene.

They said: “He was very much loved by his family, friends and touched the lives of many.

“He will be sorely missed and our hearts are broken.”
