Laser pen shone at aircraft over Market Drayton

A laser pen was shone towards an aircraft flying over Shropshire.

The location is unknown but police believe it came from the Market Drayton area last night.

Officers tweeted:

Pc Alan Ambrose said: "The incident happened between 11pm and 11.30pm.

"People need to remember this is a criminal offence of endangering an aircraft."

It comes after planes at Birmingham Airport have been targeted this week by laser pen yobs, police say.
